“Room Description Incorrect. Poor communication by hosts.”

Initial impressions were good however..... My bike was safe in the courtyard Shower was good.

To be improved

This room was not as described. It had two single beds rather than a double bed. The beds were not greater than 2m in length as claimed. There was only a shower and not a bath and a shower. Out of curiosity I put a random date in the future into booking.com and even if there are 4 rooms available there is only one room description and one set of photos. There is what looks like a picture above the bed, which protrudes out above the bed preventing you sitting up in bed to read a book. The hosts tell you to call them if there is a problem. When you do call they say they do not understand which I can appreciate, however when you follow this up with a message in Spanish to their phone number and booking.com you do not get a response or an acknowledgement. The WiFi code was not available. Room surfaces were cluttered with nik naks so I had to put some on the floor to make space available. Damp in one corner of the room.

The best

I thought that it was impossible to surprise me, but this hotel-museum exceeded all my expectations. Cleanliness, homely atmosphere, wonderful owners - all this added to the positive impression. The town was also beautiful. If you are passing by, even 50-100 km will be worth it to stop here.

When we arrived, the owner said that our booking had been cancelled by booking.com (for some unknown reason, and apparently not the first time this has happened) but fortunately they had a spare room available for us. We liked the room that we stayed in, very comfortable (with a four poster bed and sheets/blankets rather than a duvet), though would have benefitted from the provision of a kettle/tea/coffee facility as there was no evening meal or breakfast facility provided. Overall, we were very pleased with our overnight stay (approx half way along our 550 mile car trip between Santander and Torrevieja). Recommended accommodation.
