Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and thoughtful welcome gifts of water, wine and chocolate. Amazing view and big terrace.

To be improved

Steep walk up to old town which took about 20 mins so glad we had a car otherwise restaurants etc would have been harder to reach.

The best

Great location with fantastic views along the coast towards the west and (from the end of the terrace) up to Teide. Quiet location - a small amount of passing traffic, but nothing untoward and the main road (TF-42) was hidden down a cutting and traffic from that could hardly be heard. Spacious and clean. Large TV (but poor selection of channels). At the time we were there (late January / early February) the terrace caught the sun from c.14:30 to c.18:15 Very slightly down the hill opposite the property is a track that leads under the TF-42 and round to the centre of Icod De Los Vinos (just to walk - not suitable for vehicles).

Instructions on how to activate the keypads were needed and we eneded up having to call the agent to get these. Also the main gate keypad is quite high and a short person (say less than 160cm) would have difficulty reaching this. The water pressure is quite low (especially for the shower) and sometimes the hot water would completely stop and start during a shower. We found the property mored dated than we had expected with poor quality bedding supplied (we had expected something better for the price). Also limited choice of cutlery, crockery, glasses etc. - there were just about enough, but could have been better. Several light bulbs not working (the owners need to do some proactive maintenance). Only 2 of the 4 cooker rings worked. Parking is a bit tight outside on a steepish road. If the parking brake on a vehicle does not work well you would need to use boulders to choc the wheels. One of the people that lives in the other part of the property has dogs, one of which howls like crazy when left on its own. The sunbeds did not have any cushions and were very hard and uncomfortable. Hopefully the owners will take note and address the issues raised here.
