This accommodation leaves me with mixed feelings. The location is great for those wanting to explore the whole island. However, it’s not suitable for swimming in the sea.

To be improved

The photos on Booking make it look perfect, but the reality doesn’t quite match. The liv ing room is more like a hallway. I wouldn’t want to sleep on the couches. The TV works but is very slow. The downstairs room with two beds is extremely dark, and overall, you need to keep the lights on throughout the house. (The owner even told us to keep the shutters closed.) The bathroom is small but functional, with a large sink, a clean toilet, and a spacious shower. However, there’s not much hot water—it’s only enough for two people at most. The kitchen is a bigger issue. While it has all the necessary equipment, the oven doesn’t work well and only heats in one corner. The stove isn’t fully functional (one burner is broken). The fridge is difficult to close properly. There are only two proper chairs at the table; the rest are small swivel stools. The upstairs room was fine. The terrace is lovely with a nice view, but it’s not very large. Regarding the owner: We noted on Booking that our arrival would be at 1:00 a.m. Maria was in contact with us before we landed on the island. We also messaged her on WhatsApp about our arrival. Once we were on our way to the accommodation, we texted her again. At 1:00 a.m., we were standing in front of the house, but the owner wasn’t there. She arrived only after 1:20 a.m. During our conversation, she repeatedly criticized us for arriving so late. During our stay, don’t expect much privacy. We felt continuously monitored to ensure lights were turned off, shutters were closed, and heating was used sparingly. We were also criticized for paying through Booking but in person. The last thing is that Mrs. Maria does not speak English. Therefore, communication took place only through a translator, which occasionally led to communication misunderstandings.

The house is super nice, with a tiny terrace perfect to start the day having breakfast in the sunshine! Away from the crowded parts of the island (but also from the coast), one would kind of need a car; without is doable, but one should plan around bus schedule+walk a bit. Maria is a very caring host! It's perfect for a holiday not 100% beach-centered, e.g., one day beach, one day hike, one day village tour, rinse and repeat.

To be improved

Nothing. I just would not recommend it if you are planning to spend all your time on the beach, simply because you'll need to drive at least 30 mins to reach the closest one.

This is definitely the best choice for a vacation in a quiet, cozy, and incredibly picturesque place. The house is situated in the mountains, approximately 20 minutes by car from the airport. Alternatively, you can take a bus, with a stop just a 3-minute walk from the house. The home features two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and a terrace with a stunning view of the sea and mountains. The host is a very friendly and kind woman who welcomed us at the agreed-upon time, showed us around the house, and recommended nearby restaurants. There is parking available near the house. The place is tranquil and serene, a true paradise for the soul. As a bonus, there are several cats living outside, but they can come inside for a few minutes if you wish. I highly recommend this place. If there were a chance, I would rate it 100

“We are not motivated to repeat our stay in this house”
The best

The location is an ordinary urban development. The nice surroundings start a bit further.

To be improved

Casa Teresa is a nice house in an urban development. The interior furnishings are very good, but it is starting to show signs of wear and tear. The ground floor is actually a basement which has to be lit all the time due to the lack of sunlight. This is especially true for the room with two beds. The room upstairs is very nice. The second room upstairs, which would be better than the one downstairs, is unfortunately not for rent. During our stay, renovations were underway in the house next door with lots of noise and dust, which we were not warned about in advance. During the second half of our stay (2 weeks in total), a number of tiny ants emerged and relentlessly invaded the kitchen area. The second part of the staircase to the terrace is very dangerous. Here the owner should provide contrasting markings on the edges of the stairs. Without this marking, it is very dangerous to walk down in low light. The overall impression is contradictory despite the cleanliness of the house on the one hand but for the defects mentioned and also for the owner's efforts to downplay the problems
