Casadeluxe Villa La Torre Lenguado

Quality of the villa was beyond poor. It was clean but not enough maintenance done before holiday season started. Pool pump wasn't working on arrival and pool turning green. Maintenance company Azure were very good in replacing pump, but this was clearly not working before we arrived. Lots of tiles from the pool left to one side when we arrived. Lots of rough edges in the pool due to missing tiles. Living room couch which should be thrown out and couldn't be used without a cover over. Tap in main bathroom was loose, I tightened that myself to make it usable. All in all, I paid good money for a way below average villa, which is clearly just used as a rental.

After we arrived there was some issues with cleanliness of bedding etc but after contacting the owner and finding replacements it was sorted - Please note if you rely on decent WiFi you may wish to rethink a stay here, the coverage was poor and constantly kept dropping out, useless if you have young children with their gadgets or adults who wish to work . Another issue was the power kept tripping out, easily fixed with a switch back on but annoying.

This was our second stay at this property, but unfortunately still basic kitchen equipment. No toaster, only 2 wine glasses, so if 4 people staying not equipped enough. The broom for sweeping up around the pool was broken, so we had to purchase one ourselves, which we shouldn’t have to do, and the net for clearing leaves out of the pool was broken so we had to borrow one. We also had to buy salt and pepper, when renting I think these condiments should be in the kitchen.

I felt the communication from the host was lacking a little. They had informed me that they would be stopping by at some point after check-in to collect the €150 deposit, and so I didn't make any plans for the next few hours, but she never came by. Her responses were slow, and I honestly felt a little annoyed that I had waited around for a few hours on the first day of our holiday. And in the end, she didn't come by at all the whole week we were there to collect that deposit... So that's the only thing I would say needs to be improved. It's truly hard to fault the property itself. The double bed in the main bedroom was a little hard for my liking (this could just be my preference) but it was still fine to sleep on! The TV in the living room is not a smart TV so there is no Netflix etc. (if you care about that).
