Both the host and the apartment are great. Alejandro went out of his way to welcome me to Alcalá del Júcar and the apartment. He sent me a message every single day to ask if everything was in order and whether I needed anything. He is a star.

To be improved

There isn't anything I didn't like about the place: the host is great, the apartment has everything you need, the bedroom is an actual cave and the views from there are breathtaking. It is also nice and quiet at night. The only thing to be taken into account is that one has to walk uphill for a good 15 minutes from the car park to the apartment, as the streets are too narrow for a car to drive within the "old town". Alejandro will help you with your luggage and take it to the apartment in his quad. But the walk is quite strenuous, even if you don't have any walking difficulties. There is a butcher shop nearby that sells some groceries, but due to my work schedule I never caught it open, so I had to haul my groceries uphill in my backpack, which I was happy to do. If you have any walking difficulties, you are unfit or you are travelling with young children, I reckon you would be better off to find an alternative accommodation.
