“Worth the stay!”

The best

We had a lovely stay at Vero Holiday Homes. The apartment is well located, walking distance from the old area of Altea and the centre. The apartment is cosy, bedding is comfortable and it was very clean. We appreciated the access to the parking (underground the building) as it is not easy to find car spaces in the neighbourhood. Instructions to collect the keys were clear and easy to follow.

Really lovely apartment, very comfy and clean, good air conditioning with a gorgeous little pool for a morning swim. We were left with a bottle of complementary cava which was a nice touch.

To be improved

We completed the on-line check in, providing all our details, which was supposed to make key-pickup easier, but that apparently made no difference as we had to enter all the same information again into an key-safe locker. The locker also didn't work properly as it couldn't read any of our ID documents, meaning we had to enter all the information manually on an ineffective touch screen all while stood inside a tiny doorway at about 40 degrees celsius. It made for a frustrating beginning to the trip. The host also agreed for us to check out late (1pm) but didn't communicate this to the cleaning staff who turned up at around 11.30/12.00. It wasn't a big issue as we were nearly ready to leave but I felt bad for the staff.
