“This is a magical place, you feel like you're away from everything while you're only a 20 mins drive from the beach and 30 minutes drive from Bilbao centre. Friendly, warm owners, HUGE family room, organic garden, farm animals and delicious breakfast with homemade cake. We were sad to leave.”

“Very friendly hotel service with a beautiful landscape and great value for the price”

The best

The hotel owners are the nicest and most humble people anyone will have the joy of residing with. It’s not often you get to see and chat face-to-face with the business owners. The hotel rooms are spacious enough for groups of four to rest. Having two toilets, two sinks and two showers avoids lines in the morning. The morning breakfasts are well prepared and tasty, maybe some of the best apples, milk, bread, and juice I’ve ever tried. The beautiful scenery around the hotel is a plus. The air is so fresh and water so clean, drinkable from the tap even. If you have kids be sure to get to know the animals, especially the friendly donkey!

To be improved

The downsides had nothing to do with the hotel. We completed enjoyed our stay. Perhaps the most challenging part was getting across a tiny Roman-era bridge on the street named La Seiks. When we arrived the first day we thought the GPS had made a mistake by directing us towards a bridge where a car seemingly would not fit. Indeed, the bridge was for vehicles. It took some practice to get used to going across that each day. Be prepared to drive on curvy roads where only one car can fit at a time but traffic flows in both directions. One corner around the hotel is missing a mirror. Drive slowly around that one.
