“Nice rustic house close to popular climbing areas”
The apartment is very close to two popular climbing areas - Arico and Tamadaya. It has a spacious living room and a nice sitting outside. The beds are on the larger side. There is a large fridge with a freezer and a gas stove. There is a nice pool outside (which we did not have the weather to try) and a nice garden. Private parking is available just in front of the apartment. The host was very friendly and there are two very friendly and helpful ladies living just next door.
We came at the start of March and had the "luck" to run into a cold spell - the temperatures were around 10 ˚C at night and 15 ˚C during the day. Unfortunately the apartment is not equipped for such weather and there was no heating, so the temperature inside was about 17 - 18 ˚C. There isn't even hot water in the kitchen - just in the shower and bathroom. This wouldn't be a problem in the normal Tenerife weather, but it wasn't very cozy for us. Only on our way home we realized that a simple addition of an electric heater could have easily mitigated the situation. The kitchen equipment is adequate (I liked cooking on the gas stove), but would benefit from a few additions - like a non-stick pan with a spatula and possibly a better/sharper knife.
“Great place.”
Lovely quiet place. The ladies who live there went out of their way to help when the elecricity went off. Would definitely return if we are back in the area. You do need a car though.
Rather noisy dogs.
