“A jewel in El Pinar”
The best

This hotel was a total surprise, situated in a small village, away from the main tourist area. Beautifully restored converted into a very comfortable hotel with outdoor space for dining and relaxing. The hosts Rachel and Clay are so welcoming and helpful. Clay is also the chef and an excellent one, cooking local dishes. He will also respond to any dietary needs that you have. The photo is of the view from our bedroom window.

The best

Delicious breakfast with good choices and dietary requirements met. Hosts made us welcome. Property was clean, very peaceful location with beautiful walls and villages to visit nearby. Information was plentiful and we were provided with towels for the beach.

To be improved

After an early flight and long drive to the property, we were looking forward to sitting and relaxing by the pool. However this has not been filled and we had not been made aware that this key facility (for us) would not be available. As this features in the main picture of the property, we felt disappointed we had not been informed of this in the hosts prior communication. When we expressed our surprise, we were curtly told we were welcome to go and find somewhere else to stay. Given that we were in the mountains with little option for alternative accommodation and it was early evening, this was somewhat offensive. Other than dining chairs there was nowhere to sit and relax until our last day when sunbed cushions were brought in. The garden area has been decommissioned to the point of there being a wasps nest. If you’re the type of person who likes to explore without letting the property know, this will not be for you.

The food was great and we loved that everything was local from the vegetables to the olive oil · Cons: We thought the pool was open all the time, however this didn't spoil our stay and we didn't miss it”

Very nice Hotel with a fantastic location. Very nice service. Fantastic room with a wonderful view. Very good restaurant and good breakfast. Dogfriendly.
