“Basic accommodation, needs everything checked and repaired.”

The shower head leaked everywhere, needs to be replaced. The shower enclosure also leaked all over the bathroom floor. Couldn't adjust the air con temperature. Staff collected all my details at check in telling me it was for the "police" only for them to then spam me with 3 different WhatsApp messages after I checked out, trying to sell me tickets to shows. I never consented to them using this "police" information to spam me.

“Ideal central quirky hotel”

The best

Staff were brilliant , we were explained the history of the hotel ( formerly used by actors from the theatre ). Always polite. Room was amazing all theatrical themed. I also had a look at other room as well. There was Aircon and a hairdryer and lots of space. Shower was nice. We were in room 208 and this was overlooking the small street and was noisy during the early hours but we were in central Madrid so could not expect less. You are literally next to everything. Beds were large and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in room too. The breakfast was good meats ,cheeses ,salads ,hot foods , breads ,pastries, fruit and yogurts amongst a few other things that I tried. Breakfast is served 7am until 11am , such a good range as you are not rushing up to get food and can have a little rest. On checkout you do not need to vacate room until 12 noon this was good as we had a late night flight. They will also store luggage until your transfer arrives. Top floor has a rooftop seating area which was a good addition. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a central city break.
