ruined our trip ! unfortunate experience .HOTEL CATALONIA BORN in Barcelona advertises as being 4 stars - nothing4 Star about this place. absolutely unacceptable and unpleasant and not true to its advertising. I would have happily moved hotel. Fortunately, we left after two nights. I have never stayed in such a lousy hotel. stars are not nothing pleasant. uncaring front desk. and as I reported my experience via email, even their response customer care was that the room was correctly advertised and what I paid to get. Huh? never never again! By the way my photos haven’t been published - in my initial review ! possibly too telling of reality ?

Booked via a travel operator, turned out to be a real little gem. Helpful reception, prompt check in with useful information. Room was possibly slightly small, but really comfortable and well presented. Bathroom was stunning, very well maintained and equipped. Good buffet breakfast.

The location is perfect and breakfast is very good a bit expensive all in all I'm happy with the experience I would go back again

We spent a couple of nights in this beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of El Born district. It’s a great hotel if you want to explore this neighbourhood in detail. There’s lots of shops, cafes and unique streets to visit in El Born so this hotel is the perfect location to stroll around and it’s still close to the city centre just a few minutes away from Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. They come with a kettle to have a little coffee, mini bar and room service until 11pm. We had a little balcony overlooking Rec Comtal. The rooftop with swimming pool was beautiful. A spacious place to relax, sunbathe or just swim in the pool on a hot sunny summer day. Beautiful views of Barcelona from the top. There’s also a little lounge downstairs to sit down and read where we could meet a friend who visited us at the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to visit again in the future. Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Big bathrooms with a separate shower and tube. Staff was helpful. Would recommend, small but good pool to cool off on those hot days.

Beautiful place right in the city. We walked everywhere and took advantage of the location to explore the streets of Barcelona. There was a festival going on in front of the Cathedral which was great too. Hotel is a boutique which I love. Small and comfortable feel with a small but adequate pool and gym area on the roof. Would definitely stay here again.
