Catalonia Portal de l'Angel

We had a wonderful experience at the Catalonia Portal de l’Angel. We stayed in a premium terrace room which looked like it was recently updated, the room was very spacious and had great amenities; robes, slippers, a bathroom scale, nice shampoo/shower gel. It was nice to relax on our terrace after walking around the city all day. Hotel location is fantastic and we were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to see. The breakfast buffet was lovely, I was looking forward the next morning every night when I went to bed! Lots of fresh fruit, amazing breads, nicely cooked egg dishes, cheeses, meats, honeycomb! Something for everyone. The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful. I’d stay here again for certain!

The hotel is great. The location is perfect. You can walk to most of the main attractions.

This is a great hotel - both staff and facilities are really good. Will be back without a doubt. Short walk from aer bus stop which is really handy. Rooms were a decent size and outside garden is beautiful.

Very nice hotel in a great location near Plaça Catalunya, a ton of shopping, and other attractions. The area is very walkable, plus the Metro is only a short walk away and nearby taxi stands make getting around Barcelona easy. The hotel is in a beautiful old building, but the rooms are comfortable, modern, and offer nice amenities. In spite of its thee star rating, it was as nice as many four star hotels I’ve stayer at. The breakfast buffet offered extensive choices and was delicious. The hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. I will definitely stay there again on future trips to Barcelona.

Great value hotels chain in Spain. You always get great service, modern rooms, clean and comfortable beds. We stayed with Catalonia in Madrid and Barcelona. We picked Central locations to walk almost everywhere and few steps to Metro and buses. They offer WiFi, safebox, mini bar, kettle, and fancy tea bags. Catalonia Atocha in Madrid and Catalonia Portal de l'Anglel in Barcelona.
