“Surprised by quality of food, service and cleanliness. Super good 😊”
Absolutely amazing afortable 4 Star Hotel. Food is amazing 🤩 is many vegetarian choices, fish, meat and desserts so testy. It is old style hotel partly renovated, but spotless, very clean, room are spacious with comfortable big beds( double size each single bed) mattress is very comfortable. Staff of hotel is amazing friendly, helpful, specially reception, and restaurants, pool bar, accomodation and entertainers all excellent 👌. So much activity during day , that attracts all age groups, entertainment in the evening is excellent. Location is prime, 2 Nd sea line, with jacuzzi lunch area at the front sea line available for all-inclusive ant prime guests. Only one little complaint ( glass wall at infinity head swimming pool needs to be cleaned) Everything else is perfect.
“Would recommend for families”
Would recommend for families. Read some mixed reviews before we arrived, and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Buffet restaurant had plenty of variety, and ample seating. Loads of coffee machines and drinks places across the hotel. My children 5 + 8 LOVED the kids club, which really made the holiday for us. The 2 nearby beaches were good as well, just wish I had brought my snorkel kit. However there are no refrigerators in bedrooms, and you have to buy your own water for the room.
“A great, relaxing week in the sun”
We enjoyed a relaxing week here at the Punta del Rey. Below are our reviews of the different aspects of our time here. Rooms: We had a standard room. It was plenty big enough for us and our 18 year old daughter. It has a good sized balcony with a lovely view of the waterfall and a partial sea view. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. The standard room does not include use of the safe or tea and coffee making facilities. It didn't bother us, but upgrade to premium if you need these. Food: We really enjoyed the food at all meal times. We loved the warm welcome each evening from Simona. What a lovely, friendly lady! Each evening had a different theme. Our favourites were the Indian and oriental evenings. At breakfast and lunch we always found there to be a good selection of foods. Drinks: We were all inclusive. We stuck to the wines, sangria, cava and beer. The pre-mixed cocktails were not very nice and the pre-mixed drinks such as gin and tonic were not good either. You could serve yourself wine and beer at the taps in the restaurant. Pool areas and bars: We went to the infinity pool over the road which was adults only. It was really peaceful and had a lovely view of the sea. We enjoyed swimming in the pool most days. It does close at 5pm though which felt a little early and the lifeguard was keen to tidy up well before that. The main pool is much bigger but busier. We never went in it. There's plenty of sunbeds at both pools. There's lots of entertainment throughout the day, if you choose to join in. There is a terrace bar by the pool that we enjoyed going to in the early evening. We enjoyed listening to a singer there two nights and a sax player too. The inside bar by reception was disappointing. There was nothing happening in there and it was very dark. On the first floor there was a show bar. The hotel really do try hard to provide good entertainment. There was a variety of acts from groups to singers and magic shows. Our favourite was the band with a main singer who also played the drums. The surrounding area: If you want to visit a lively resort this is not the place to go. If you walk down the hill to the right you reach a boardwalk by the sea which leads all the way to Punta Lago. You pass a few restaurants along the way. It takes about 40 minutes and is a pleasant walk. The beach has black sand and is pretty rocky. You can reach Santa Cruz by catching the bus near to the hotel. It costs 1.85 euros and takes around 20 minutes. It is well worth a visit. All in all we had a great week and could recommend the hotel to anyone looking to get away and chill out.
“Relaxing holiday”
Rooms are lovely, spacious cleaned daily, large Balcony. Worth upgrading to premium the Solarium is a beautiful area, two large Jacuzzis which were lovely. Food excellent drinks plentiful. Shows good. You are in a residential area so not a lot to see. My only gripe was no large bar to meet people in. Downstairs bar in a very dark area near a very busy reception which was not too inviting. We had a lovely relaxing time though and like many fellow travellers would happily go back there again. Enjoy
“Perfect Place”
Exceptional staff in all areas of the hotel this is this hotels main asset it’s staff always eager to please. Food quite honestly is exceptional staff will accommodate any requirements. Hygiene standards great. Beautiful location away from the tourist hot spots yet twenty minutes from Santa Cruise. Was quite surprised when most guests had visited numerous times however after experiencing first hand wonderful hospitality on our first visit we have booked to come back in only a month that says it all!
“Hidden gem in Las Caletillas”
Had a wonderful 14 night stay...the food is getting even better...something for everyone...the dining room staff are so helpful, Simona, Mila, Roque etc, the live cooking is great, Chefs will cook food to your liking if you ask them, bar staff are super efficient and cheerful Sari, Carlos etc...The rooms are very comfortable, some are a wee bit tired but refurbs are ongoing. Reception are always willing to help Jacobo and Daniella have been very helpful...as have all the reception team ...The very nice Tui reps are there 7 days a week ...the hotel entertainment is fabulous....Aaron, Boris and the rest of the animation team make sure everyone is included...the area is quiet, not touristy which suits us...nice black sand beaches, lovely tapas bars, Punta Larga town is nearby...has everything you need...even a pot shop (legal) if you are so inclined...Santa Cruz is must visit... 20 minutes away by bus...No122...every 20 minutes, the bus stop is yards from the hotel...if you are looking for a lively resort the Las Caletillas is not for you...if you want to chill out then it is perfect
