“Great stay at the Catalonia Ronda!”
We've just spent 2 nights at the Catalonia Ronda hotel. It is a fantastic hotel in a great location. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a junior suite, the cleanliness of the room was of a great standard. We visited the bar, where you have views of the bullring. Also ate in the hotel restaurant Panoramico, which was excellent.
“Beautiful Ronda.”
Found the room 320 a bit dark as its position was so close to building next door. Two single beds made up and pushed together i wouldnt class as a double room although seems to be quite a common thing these days.Other than that room was huge with an outstanding bathroom.Staff excellent and lovely bar and restaurant with great veiws.Excellent location for exploring Ronda and surrounding area.Reasonably priced going on prices elswhere at Easter.Spotlessly clean with a lovely ambiance.Would definatly return if back in Ronda.
“Great location and awesome staff!”
Really nice hotel right on the main street close to shopping and dining but very quiet once inside. Staff were awesome. Very clean and spacious
“Should have been a wonderful stay, ended up as a nightmare with extra costs.”
We did a little tour in December 2025 over Christmas and booked a stay in a Junior Suite (room 320) for two nights. The arrival was fantastic, the check-in as well as the room. A really spacious room, facing a small street so it should be quiet. Everything was perfect until we stayed in the room in the evening. There were repeated noises close to the head rest of the bed, sounded like water flushing or someone having a shower. But next to the room was only a stair case. It was very annoying. Although it was already late evening we called reception and they offered us a room change. So we changed to room 314. Sadly it did not feature a big bed, but the night was okay. In the morning there was some strange noise as well like dragging furniture? We went out for the day and arrived in the afternoon back at the hotel. We wanted to rest, but it was impossible. We heard loud stomping (I recorded it) above us and dragging of furniture (chairs) again. So we went down to the reception again and they said sorry and moved us again. It turned out, both Junior Suites that cost more than the regular rooms of course are located below the kitchen and the restaurant on the 4th floor. So the water noises came from the kitchen above in room 320 and stomping noised came from the restaurant above room 314 where a group had a great time. Our second night was finally calm. The hotel offered us free breakfast for the morning. The staff was super helpful, but a feeling remains that they must be aware of the problem of this rooms. Our rental car was parked in a public parking lot 5 minutes from the hotel. It was raining cats and dogs, we were offered to get the car delivered to the limited parking space in front of the hotel. But I went and took out the car myself. To have an everlasting bad impression of the stay, I received a fine form the city for driving from the parking lot to the hotel!!! 70€. In the rain I must have missed a sign that this is a road for residents only. It seems because the road continues over the famous bridge of Ronda. But we did not cross the bridge. So for everyone reading this, please ask the hotel before you arrive how you supposed to get to the hotel. This was the last reminder to avoid this hotel for us at all costs in the future. The staff at the reception must know about this, if you search on google I found that the city is making a fortune from this tourist trap! To sum up, great hotel, great location, great cafe and breakfast, amazing room 320 (if it wouldn't be under the kitchen) and in two nights we know now at least one Junior Suite of three that is quiet and would be worth the travel. But getting a fine to be a customer for unloading and loading luggage, shame on the hotel staff/management for not advising the guests. So much about being a circle member of Catalonia hotels and the benefits they offer.
“Avoid the weekend”
This is a well appointed hotel that is ideally located very close to the centre with everything within easy walking distance. The breakfast was good and the view from the breakfast room outstanding. However I am not sure I can recommend a weekend stay. We had a lovely room with a view of the mountains and bullring, but this meant too that we were on the main road and despite the double glazing we had two very poor nights of sleep due to noise from outside which, while intermittent went on into the early hours. If staying over a weekend I would recommend an internal room. We also found the bar staff on the rooftop bar to be less than friendly. It was almost as though you were a nuisance being there. Mind, the hotel appeared to have a policy of allowing non residents to use the bar and as already mentioned with to being the weekend it was very busy.
“Beautifully decorated hotel centrally located by the Peunte Viejo Bridge”
We stayed here for two nights in March 2026. It’s a lovely modern, clean hotel very centrally located in Ronda, overlooking the bullring. I asked before arrival if we could have a room with a view of the bullring and we were accommodated without any extra charge. The bar and terrace area (which also overlooks the bullring) is very tastefully decorated and a lovely setting on a nice afternoon. We stayed on a room only basis so I cannot comment on the food. We were provided with a large bottle of water daily. Everywhere is spotless clean. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Ronda. We paid €290 for two nights for a standard room. Ronda is beautiful and two nights is plenty to see all the sights.
