Although the particular room was large enough and comfortable, the room was a little dim, with little natural daylight.

Room very small. Very thin walls so you can hear everything. Two single very small metal beds. No kettle or tea making facilities in the room. Had to pay €2 euros per night for the safe. It is a hostel NOT a hotel as the name suggests. We had booked to stay for 4 nights. We stayed the first night and it was abysmal. So the next morning booked into a hotel 5 minutes round the corner. The room had a massive superking bed. Tea and coffee making facilities. Huge bathroom. And iron, and a safe you didn’t have to pay extra for. It had bars, restaurants, a spa and a roof top pool. The staff were amazing and the place was immaculate. And the cherry on top of the cake …. It was €40 per night cheaper than the grubby ’HOSTEL Catalunya’. The only thing good about that ‘hostel’ is the location. But there are far better HOTELS in the same area. So do yourselves a favour and avoid the HOSTEL Catalina at all costs!!!

The shower in the room is awful it is extremely slippery and small which can be quite dangerous getting in and out
