“Great place, would probably stay again, wish the policies were a little more tenant friendly.”
This is one of the largest properties I have ever rented in Spain. There is plenty of room for a large family. We were three adults and a baby and it was more than enough space for a month. The amenities in the kitchen were fantastic and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. The bathrooms are new and I was surprised to have heated floors. Showers are great. Moreover, the apartment is SO QUIET. THat was a bonus for us as we were travelling with my five-month-old baby. There is zero street noise and these beautiful french doors that open to a juliet-balcony- in nearly every room. Arriving was easy and the lift is very convenient. We were in the three-bedroom and it was very convenient to access. I have seen negative reviews about the location, but honestly, it is only a five minute walk to gran via and it’s five minutes to a metro stop. I thought the location was really cool with a lot of vintage shops and really great restaurants around. Here are some notes that may be helpful...when you leave the apartment, turn left and it's a straight walk to Gran Via. Turn right and you'll access REALLY great restaurants and a street that is known for delicious brunch. There is a really amazing vegan donut shop nearby. We're not vegan, but I'm telling you it's worth the visit. Maybe a three minute walk to the shopping at Arenal. 1 minute or less to a coworking friendly cafe called Bicicleta. And 1 minute or less to a famous tapas bar that is on all the tours (Bar Ardosa). Yes, there are prostitutes nearby (as another reviewer mentioned) but it is a legal practice here, they are polite, not bothersome and do not approach you. I would FOR SURE stay in this location again. The weekly cleaning was really bonus. It was really nice to have someone come in and do the cleaning. Also the lady who was there most days in the office is super nice and professional.
1. I indicated in my booking that I am very allergic to feathers and requested non-featherbedding. They never responded to the request and when I arrived and asked again, they essentially told me to go buy it myself. I didn’t mind walking down to Primark and buying an 11 euro pillow, but after spending nearly€5000 on this property it seemed really unprofessional to not be willing to provide proper bedding 2. It has taken almost a month (and several emails) to get my security deposit back. They take a large security deposit and they tell you if you use too much electricity that you will be charged extra. I have never experienced this booking a flat. 3. They charge €75 to use a crib. When the crib arrived, I looked up that model on Amazon and it was only €65. I could have bought the crib, had it shipped to an Amazon locker nearby, and thrown it away for less money than what they charged to use it for one month.
“Stylish sanctuary in the center of madrid”
Very modern apartment with a beautiful interior. The building is small and very well put and clean. Has an modern elevator. The apartnemt was on its own floor so u don't hear any neighbors or see anyone. And it has its own entry way to your apartment door with was so cozy. It was fully equipped with all kitchen appliances and utensils. The rooms had fresh linen and towels and were regularly changed every week by cleaning service which also cleaned the apartment weekly. It felt like home the instant we got there and just felt homier throughout. We loved that there was a dia supermarket down the road. Also the management were very helpful when we left our keys in the flat they helped us get other ones within an hour.
I didn't like the area, it was very dirty and a lot of prostitutes and odd people. Not very child friendly. It was like the soho of London. Being in the center was nice as gran via was only 5 min walk away but it came with a price of having an unpleasant vibe.
