“It was not available and I got no help from Booking.com”
The best

I don't know of any way to get back to Booking.com to say that this property was not available and I could not get any response out of your contact email or phone numbers. I arrived on the doorstep in the pouring rain, with no contact from the owner. When I first tried to book, my payment with Paypal went through (i believe) and then I had an email from Booking.com to say there had been some problem and I needed to confirm. This I did and immediately got the usual confirmation, so all seemed well. The owner later responded that the room has not been available. I want my money refunded if it was taken and preferentially some compensation for then having to search myself and find a more expensive alternative!
