While there is no physical reception, the virtual service is generally efficient and courteous.
Well-located in the heart of Madrid, convenient for access to amenities.
Overall comfort and cleanliness issues affect the experience, but location and service shine.
Noted some cleanliness issues with stains on sheets and signs of prior damage.
Rooms are small, with some reports of fire damage and small size discrepancies.
Pricing does not match the offered facilities and service level.
“Worked for what we needed.”
Location
Smoke ring around balcony window, never made contact with a human when checking in/entering. Entry was by buzzing and hoping someone would answer. Neighbors were loud and no way to complain.
“Great pension room in a very location, perfect for a weekend trip”
Great location, busy area but soundproofing is excellent.
Air conditioning is a bit confusing. However, in fairness to management, I acknowledge we didn’t ask for assistance.
“The location · Cons: We didn't like it at all. The staff was very rude, the entrance was very old and dirty. Also, we arrived at 1 a.m. and no one attended to us — we spent about an hour ringing the doorbell.”

“Stayed 2 nights. Street facing room is noisy rear courtyard facing room was better for sleeping.”
Location.
Tape across the doors to 3 rooms, plus the fire damage visible from the exterior of the building, gave the impression of a crime scene. Need a sign to explain they are doing renovations and that the premises are safe.
“Comfy and great location”
The room was very nice, fresh and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Perfect location for exploring the city by foot. Lovely lightning fixtures, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Temperature control inside the room.
Even though the building has a lift, you still need to take a small flight of stair to get to the lift, which makes no sense and it extremely uncomfortable if you have big luggage with you. The lift is very small, you barely fit with your luggage. Reception is not open 24 hours, so you might not be able to check in when you arrive, however the cleaning staff could help you store your luggage if you want to go and explore the city straight away.
“Way too small and uncomfortable.”
Excellent location.
Tiny room, staff rarely on site, door didn’t always lock.
