“Safe, clean and reasonably priced.”
The location was great, near trains and busses, downtown, with many restaurants, cafe's and shopping steps away. The room was tight for 3 of us but it was sufficient with A.C. and towels. There was a small fridge in the room as well as a desk and closet. There was also a fridge/freezer available in the little kitchen area for our use. Cold water and hot tea were complimentary, and coffee was available for 1 Euro. The place was clean and modern. The hotel is situated on a block that has gates at each end so they are secured at night. No concerns about security.
The hotel is on the 3rd floor (American's would call it the 4th floor) and at the time the lift/elevator was not working so lugging our bags (Staying for 6 weeks in Spain) up and back down was painful but I believe this was a temporary issue. We were informed of this the day before but by then we were on our way and didn't want to look for something else.
“Good enough for the price”
It’s good enough for the price and it comes with AC that works for the hot weather. Has a private bathroom
Blow dryer is not very powerful. Small room
“the location is superb, and honestly this is probably the only good thing about this hotel. on Gran Via, we haven't used metro in 2 days at all, we were able to walk around the whole center and get to Movistar arena for concert, which was the reason for us visiting Madrid. the water flow in the shower is also nice, and it is quiet in the nights. · Cons: the room is tiiiiiiny, the bed is shaking when you're trying to get on it comfortably and the room was dirty when we arrived. there were short dark hairs all around the sink, and although it smelled like chlorine in the bathroom because of the hair we couldn't feel like it was actually clean. the room itself is very very very very tired. like badly tired. this room is okay to just stay a night and go on with your journey, but if you need a place to rest during the day too – cannot recommend. we also struggled to keep our things in order, because there is just no place for it at all.”

“Perfect location right in city centre but room was way too small and walls were very thin that you can even hear someone breathing on the other side, overall it was good for a night or two.”

“C H Lumiere Madrid AVOID”
Location
Not Hotel or a Guest house and apartment converted into several rooms. We could hear the room nextdoor use the toilet and blow their nose. I would NOT recommend this place. 3 keys and a fob to get into the room
“Great location but really small room”
The location is amazing. There is no better location than his one to have a short visit and move in the city with ease.
Well, one must be aware that it is not a traditional hotel. It is more like an apartment that was transformed into many small rooms. The room seemed clean but it smelled like smoke from cigarettes. There is not enough room for two people, but it can work for a weekend.
