That fact that I had to pick up & drop off keys from office which needs a taxi journey would have been better if we could have met at property also air conditioning unit upstairs wasn't work & replacement wasn't very good noisy & also gave off extra heat should have been sorted before we arrived didn't really want workmen in while we were staying there

We had a great stay at Villa Marabu Lagoon in Ciudad Quesada. The place was easy to find and in a fantastic location — just a short walk from a stretch of bars and restaurants, with a supermarket and a really handy bazaar-style shop right across the road that sells pretty much everything (including BBQ coal!). The apartment was super clean, fresh, and well laid out. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the setup with a shared bathroom upstairs and an en suite downstairs worked perfectly for our group. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge, freezer, oven, and hob, making it easy to prepare meals when we wanted. Air conditioning throughout the apartment kept it comfortable, even in the heat. The pool was a highlight — it caught the sun all day and was lovely and warm by the afternoon, perfect for relaxing after a round of golf. We also made good use of the BBQ, which was a great addition. Communication with the host was excellent via WhatsApp — very responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, Villa Marabu Lagoon was a brilliant place to stay, and we’d happily return.

To be improved

Honestly, there wasn’t much to fault. The Jacuzzi on the roof wasn’t working during our stay, which would’ve been a nice bonus, and the shower could have been a touch hotter — but that’s really just nitpicking. Overall, the place had everything we needed and more.
