“Enjoyable stay”

The best

The host, Mery, was so lovely and communication was good, she fully explained everything about the apartment, which was spacious, modern, extremely clean and well equipped and having 2 good size bathrooms really useful. Mery also agreed to my request for hour earlier check in and 2 hours later checkout, which was appreciated. Good location, few minutes walk to the Marina, esplanade and beach, good restaurants and St Nicholas cathedral nearby with a supermarket and Mercado tram Station just around the corner, which we used to visit a couple of different beaches along the coast. A visit to Santa Barbara Castle and watching the sunset from the viewpoint recommended, also day trip to Tabarca Island. Would happily stay again when building work all completed.

To be improved

There is building work right outside the apartment, meaning no balcony and noise from builders with doors/ shutters needing to be closed at all times during the week. I was only made aware of this after booking, but not mentioned on booking.com site. However, Mery was very honest and fair on arrival and offered full refund if I wished to cancel, I did consider this, but as the apartment was so good i decided to stay, especially as we were there 4 nights, including a weekend, so only had builders 2 days and apartment has good lighting and fairly soundproofed electric shutters/doors. Builders also ensured we got up and out earlier, so were able to make the most of our stay, we still had a great time.
