“The apartment has potential but currently needs a refresh and upgrade and better provision of basics”

1. The apartment was clean and spacious. 2. The communal areas around the pool and courtyard areas were very well kept and attractive. The local staff that maintained these were friendly and efficient. 3. The complex was secure. 4. The apartment is close to the beach and central areas of Puerto Banus. 5. The key handover worked well and Banus Rentals seemed very helpful, both before our trip when answering questions and during our stay.

To be improved

1. The apartment is right next to the main motorway. The pool and garden is literally 10-15 metres from the edge of the highway. Whilst you couldn't see the traffic, due to a high wall, the noise was constant and extremely loud. The apartment faces this road too so sitting on the balcony was very noisy and it was not relaxing when sunbathing at the pool. If you like a relaxing and peaceful apartment this is not for you. We used a couple of beach clubs to get away from the noise but these work out at about 35 euros per day per person. There was no mention of the road in the property description, which is misleading. 2. The apartment is furnished with very basic and old IKEA furniture - wobbly drawers, shabby table and chairs, outdoor furniture, tatty curtains that don't fit, pictures that are falling out of their frames, etc. It is in need of an upgrade. If you are fancying a little glamour or luxury this won't pass muster. It felt like a student apartment. We expected better quality furniture and fittings for the 1,575 euros for a week that we paid (not in peak season). It is very basic - no tea towel, one dishwasher tablet, 1 bin bag, no salt/pepper - basics that we have had in other apartment stays. 3. For the above reasons, we could not recommend it to friends and we would not re-visit.

“Great apartment in a super cute location”

The best

Spacious apartment with all the facilities, located within a walking distance from Puerto Banus and the beach. The apartment complex area was nice and quiet, we enjoyed some time at the pool as well. TV has netflix in case you’re in the mood for a movie night. Beds were comfortable, the terrace was perfect for sharing breakfast in the morning with a view.

To be improved

Not necessarily a negative but there isn’t much sun coming in during the day so can get a bit chilly inside, bring some more layers of clothes. Also if needing to cook, there aren’t condiments or such, so will need to buy. There were also a few ants here and there probably gettin in from outside.
