Charming Anton Martin Market

We had high hopes for this apartment, but our experience was overshadowed by a serious issue with the front door lock. We were locked out multiple times, including late at night, and despite contacting the host and their emergency number, the problem wasn’t properly addressed during our stay. We had to constantly leave someone inside the apartment just to avoid being locked out again, which disrupted our plans and made it hard to enjoy the trip. Support was slow, and a proper fix was only scheduled for after we checked out. For the price we paid, we expected a smoother, safer experience. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t meet those expectations.

Since it's a 100 year old building, it is in poor condition, and there is constant work in the building. There was construction noise starting early in the morning, but the worst part was that the apartment had a strong smell of chemicals - like a freshly painted room. We could not establish the source of it but it gave my daughter allergy as we could smell it all night long, and none of us could sleep, with her coughing all night and us all suffocating with that smell.

I think the comfort of the mattresses needs to be reviewed. I am not very heavy, but I was touching the slats of the bed. But i dont try all the beds .. 😉
