Charming penthouse in Madrid-Centro - Oso

This is a converted attic, definitely not a penthouse! It's quite small, and you can't actually walk in the bedroom because of the slanted roof. Everything in the building is old, particularly the external door, which you literally cannot open because the key needs to moved in just the right way. We thought we had the wrong key, but the owner insisted that it can be opened and sent video instructions on how to jingle the lock. it's a good thing we were only there for a few days, during which we rung other people to open the door, and the one time we did manage to open it ourselves, it took 10 minutes, and we got it open by accident. Ridiculous. The neighborhood is close to museums, but really doesn't feel super safe at night either. The bathroom has a nice updated shower, but the knob is super weird, and if you don't turn it the right way, you can scald yourself. Also, since the bedroom door is glass, it's really not great for 4 people, as there really isn't any privacy. Plus, charging 30 euros for check (for someone to come open a door) after 6 pm is ridiculous. This was not on the booking site when i originally booked the room, I believe it was added to the page later.
