“A lovely place with spectacular views”
I did love the place, the neighborhood is quiet and calm. The Alhambra is just breathe taking from that space and what a lovely place to stay at. It was clean and the beds were good.
I did have some problems with the lights at the apartment, there were no lamps in the living room only really high lights . The kitchen did need some more cutlery and if the house is for up to 10 there are only 6 glasses for wine,3 big coffee mugs and other 3 large coffee mugs. So more things in there would be great for cooking.
“Lovely apartment in a fantastic location”
Located in a narrow cobbled street, just above the Carerra del Darro and about 10 mins walk from the centre of Granada and the Cathedral. We left the car in a secure car park on the outskirts of the city for 3 days and took a taxi to the apartment as there is no parking because the cobbled street is too narrow. A taxi will drop you at the end of the street where its just a few minutes walk to the apartment. The apartment is exactly as described and the view of the Alhambra on the opposite hill is spectacular, especially at night when it is floodlit. We loved sitting on the main balcony for breakfast and enjoying the beautiful views. There are numerous tiny alleyways and steps down to the walk along the riverside, and a small supermarket 2 mins walk away. There are bars and restaurants close by and the whole of the historic area of Granada is easy to walk to. There are buses within a few minutes walk, and a bus pass for 11 journeys costs €5, so you really don't need your car.
Two of the bedrooms face the cobbled street and are very noisy with people talking, and motorbikes driving past until the early hours. A tiny travel kettle was provided which only filled one cup at a time, not adequate for an apartment for 6 people!
“Superb”
“Great view as promised!”
The balcony was exactly as in the pictures! Super nice place to have breakfast in the morning and have a drink at night, with the amazing view of the palace. The old town neighborhood was a bit far from city center, but there's a nice little convenient store and restaurant just a few steps away (down the stairs). We quite enjoyed the old town vibe! For this beautiful scenery, we had to accept some tradeoffs (street noise, small and wet bathroom, hard to access..). But in general, we all thought it was worth it!
The rooms and bathrooms are relatively small, and the street side windows aren't really soundproof so it could be quite noisy from outside at night (you can hear people walking by and cars driving by). Also, the bathroom floor got very wet and slippery after bath, we had to put a big towel on the floor and kept the door open to dry it. The biggest challenge we had was transportation. The old street was very narrow and only small cars can pass by, we rented a MPV and it was stuck at the entrance of the street, so we had to drag our luggages all the way from there to the apartment (and all the way back when we were leaving). One night we went to a Flamingo bar nearby and called a taxi home, and even local taxi could not drive us directly to the front of the building. So for people who's traveling with a big car and a lot of luggages, please be prepared.
“Good”
“Absolutely amazing views of the Alhambra. The apartment is in the heart of the Albaicin and only a short walk from the P”
The apartment is bright and has an amazing, uninterrupted view of the alhambra. The location is a short walk along cobblestone stone streets from the centre. Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms made the stay comfortable and the apartment felt easily like a village home you could easily live in. We would definitely stay again.
Not the fault of the property, however you have to pack light due to limited vehicular access to the Albaicin neighbourhood.
