“Good but probably won't return.”
Facilities were fine, with supermarket nearby.
Smell from the middle bathroom. I did advise the concierge of this. There were no instructions for the appliances, or where to put the bin rubbish. There could have been more of a welcome gift, not just water. Some bread, milk, butter and juice would have been good. Information about the area, numbers for services should have been there.
“Very poor”
In general, everything is fine. Very, very clean. Private parking in front of the entrance. Near the garbage cans. No problem with garbage. The girl who gave the keys back simply gave them back - without any problem. The flat is very bright and fragrant. No unwanted odors. Very nice neighborhood – off the beaten track, but close to everything – the location is definitely worth recommending. Very good Wifi. A lot of different equipment. The toaster has its best years behind it. Darts is definitely a plus – although new endings would be useful.
My opinion is subjective, so the assessment of other people for whom other aspects are important may be completely different. The most significant drawback of this place is that it is NOT A PRIVATE VILLA. This is an flat in a villa shared with other people who occupy other parts of the same villa. There is nothing wrong with that. However, in this place, only the DOOR separates from other people. There is absolutely NO acoustic separation. In this way, while sitting in the kitchen, you can hear exactly what other tenants are saying in another part of the villa. What's more, when lying in bed, you can clearly hear the snoring of other people. In my opinion, this disqualifies this facility. If I wanted to listen to other people's conversations behind the door, I would buy accommodation in a cheap student hostel. The rest are small problems – negligible. A small problem with communication, because it is impossible to communicate either by booking (messages are directed to Holidu, which does not forward them), or by phone (only in Spanish), nor by e-mail (hotmail rejects e-mails to the addressee - hotmail-com.olc.protection.outlook.com[52.101.9.10] said: 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from.... weren't sent.). In this way, I could not confirm that the owner turned on the pool heating, although when I arrived the heat pump was on (the water in the pool was freezing), but only for two days (I think) – then it turned off, I don't know why – complete lack of communication. Finally, no bill or invoice for the service. Benito sends his invoice from Holidu instead of any document for me.
“A lovely location, with stunning views. Nice and quiet and perfect for a little getaway.”
Lovely property, nice and quiet and less busy than the more touristy parts. Only a 20 mins (ish) drive away from south Tenerife airport and you could get to other areas like Los Cristianos and Playa De Las Americas in around the same time too, if not less. Also a 5 minute drive from Aldi and Lidl which came in very handy for self catering. The views are stunning and the beach’s are beautiful. We rented a car which proved a lot more cost effective than taxis / Ubers so would recommend if you’re able to! The property has onsite parking in a secure garage so even more handy. Private pool area was also lovely and quiet with lots of beds and parasols for shade. It’s secure with gates only opening with keys so helpful if you have kids.
The bathrooms were lovely however we did notice a sewer like smell in one of them, and if you flushed the toilet it took a while for you to be able to flush it again. But there are 2 bathrooms so it wasn’t a big problem and the water in the sinks / showers worked perfectly. The pool also unfortunately wasn’t heated which was definitely a shame as the pool area was beautiful but the water in the pool was freezing! Not sure if it gets heated during certain times of the year but worth mentioning as we would’ve used it more if it wasn’t so cold.
“Exceptional”
“Chill in paradise, for real :)”
The room and bed were super comfortable. The terrace was really nice and had a great view. Our hosts were super communicative and helpful. Just a great place to stay at, thank you
everything was great
“Comfortable, great if you go with your own car”
The size of the apartment and structure is perfect for families (2 parents + 2 kids; two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one living room + kitchen). The TV is great. The kitchen is very well equipped. The balcony was perfect for all meals - the sun hits directly only for about an hour before sunset, so the balcony is the coolest place of the apartment at all times. The water tank was small indeed but more than enough for us all to shower. You will need your own car to take advantage of this place - for this reason, the underground garage is perfect (finding parking spots outside is near impossible). There are three pools available, big enough for everybody. There aren't many things to see or do by foot in the area, but Roca Negra is very cool to see at least once.
It is forbidden to bring inflatables to the pool (this includes balls, swimming rings, etc). If you go with children, they will be disappointed. The apartment becomes extremely hot during the day, even with all the fans on and the windows open (it's extremely hard on the kitchen area). There is no air extractor, you need to open the main door for the air to flow (or just put up with it). You will hear conversations coming from neighbors, but it's mostly quiet at night. The mattress on the main bedroom is incredibly hard and the pillows are very thin (only one for each). The couch is comfortable - until your back hits its metal frame. The small shops around the corner are frequented by drunks and homeless - they are mostly friendly, but if you need to buy something - better grab your car and drive up to the shops crossing the highway (Mercadona, Lidl and Aldi are all within 5-7 minutes by car). For longer stays it would be helpful having a vacuum cleaner to tidy up the floors.
