Chueca - Apartamento tranquilo para 4 personas-P35

Do not get fooled by the photos. They make it seem like some natural light comes in. It's all lights behind walls. This place has NO WINDOWS. It is crazily humid and smelly. We had booked 4 nights but left earlier because it was unbearable. The place has no air circulation so it is humid and everything gets wet: clothes, toilet paper, food. It feels like a punishment and it's still not cheap! The place is underneath the staircase of the building so you hear everyone walking in and the doors banging. Honestly we are very adaptable travellers and always support hosts & their efforts. This place though is unacceptable. We can't explain how renting it is even allowed and the price is still high!

I didn't like the cleanliness, there was a very strong smell of mold. We also found a moldy box.

Given it a basement apartment over the stairs, it gets noisy from the other guests going up and down the stairs. The location of the toilet was very strange. The toilet and shower are located together, which was a turnoff. You literally have to walk by the toilet to get out of the shower. The floors in the shower looked dirty which was a turnoff. The door was low, which I had to bent down to enter and exit the apartment. Lastly, the ad indicated their was a washing machine , and there was none

It is a basement basically so u have no natural light, it does have a bit of a humidity smell so to some that might be a problem especially if you have some kind of respiratory issue, also no a/c but they had fans and the weather was not hot to sleeping at night was actually not bad.

This apartment is in the basement. Lighting and air have been well taken care of by the host. But if you are claustrophobic, you should avoid this place.
