Chueca Penthouse

The air conditioning in the apartment didn’t work. Despite reporting this multiple times, the hosts were not helpful at all – they kept saying I hadn’t set it correctly, even though I obviously know how to use an AC. It didn’t blow any cold air, it just made noise. Because of this, I barely slept, as it was around 35°C inside. The rooms were not clean – I noticed dirt in several places. It’s clear that a large company manages the place, as different people were replying to my messages and they clearly weren’t communicating with each other. We arrived as a group of three, which they could also see on Booking.com as the hosts. I even reached out two weeks before arrival to ask them to prepare the sofa bed, and reminded them again the day before. They confirmed it would be ready. But when we arrived, it was not made up. When I brought this up, they claimed I had only requested it the day before, and they couldn’t notify the cleaner in time. This isn’t true – they should have seen from the booking how many guests were coming. The apartment is in a great central location, but unfortunately there aren’t many other positives. It looks much better in the pictures than in reality. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Washer dryer needed attention

Would be great to have both smart TVs. The bedroom TV could not connect to Wifi.

Ideal for a couple looking to have a bigger space. However also suitable for a group of 3/4 people due to sofa bed, which of course isn’t as comfortable as the actual bed but works just fine for a few nights.
