Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. That’s quite early, and the owner wouldn’t be flexible, even for just one extra hour. We asked for a check-out at 12 PM, but unfortunately, that was declined.

“Modern apartment which has some issues, but good location”

The best

I was meeting my sister who was staying in Valencia and this was close to where she was staying. The area has markets and a good Moroccan restaurant very close by. It was a modern-enough apartment and most things worked as expected. It's on the ground floor. It's a full apartment and everything worked well enough. It has a washing machine and (very) small drying rack, but no ventilation to help dry laundry. The communication from the management company, while soulless, was adequate. The lock system worked, but only if you slammed the door until it latched and checked it *every* time.

To be improved

The price was higher than I expected and high for the area, (and even higher than others being close to where I needed to be,) but I figured it was more modern and safe than other flats. That was actually wrong, though, since: (1) The vinyl entry door is pretty flimsy, as is the entire outer wall it is installed in. You have to slam the door to latch it, but the entire wall moves with it, implying that someone could easily breach it. (2) The entry is recessed into a foyer, and homeless people sleep in the foyer. I don't mind this but others will. (3) The residents of other apartments in the build smoke pot in the foyer which comes into the apartment. (4) The floor under the entry door, when opened, is too high, causing scraping on the floor which will eventually cause damage, but more important hinders entry at a time when you might need it quickly! The apartment windows, being on the ground floor, are whited-out, meaning there is no view of the street unless you open the one window, which subjects the resident to pot smoke or snoring from someone on the ground outside. Other building residents would come ask me questions about why I was there and what this entry door actually was. Finding the place was easy enough, but the street number is easily confused with the (bigger, older) door to the right of it that provides entry to the older apartments in the building. Despite the price, the kitchen utensils were about as cheap as can be found, most of which were probably left by previous tenants. You get exactly two small Nespresso pods as if they were the crown jewels of Spain! The locking system is not trustworthy and has to be double- or triple-checked *every* time.
