CITY CENTER CATHEDRAL VIEWS & FREE wifi

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful apartment right in the centre of Málaga. The location couldn't have been better—everything was just a short walk away, from restaurants and shops to museums and the harbour. Despite being so central, the apartment was peaceful and felt like a true retreat. The street the apartment is on is very quiet and it was on the top floor of a beautiful old building, and so the stairs were a bit of a tough climb, my dad and I went to Malaga for his 70th birthday, he was well able for the stairs even at 70 but we were glad for the working lift in the heat! The apartment was spotlessly clean and full of thoughtful extras we didn’t expect—like phone chargers, extra blankets, muffins, coffee, beers (!!) and even small touches that made it feel like home. The kitchen was really well-stocked with everything we needed, and the whole apartment was tastefully and beautifully decorated. I particularly liked the high ceiling with the old beams, and the tall sash windows with a spectacular view of the cathedral. The building itself had so much charm, with lovely traditional features (wood, marble) that added to the experience. Each room had its own air conditioning, which was a lifesaver in the summer heat, and the beds were super comfortable. We slept so well every night! The bathrooms were spotless and had everything we needed. There was always hot water. The hosts were fantastic—friendly, responsive over whatsapp, and full of helpful suggestions for places to eat and things to do. They provided us with excellent suggestions in a pdf before our stay so we could plan accordingly - it was very well organised. They stayed in touch throughout our stay and made everything feel easy and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze too with the code and then they keys were in the apartment, completely stress-free. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I wish we stayed longer and I can't wait to return. Highly, highly recommended!

Very central placement in the old town, just around the corner from Plaza de la Merced. In the heart of the old town, with La Malagueta playa just a 15-20 minutes walk away. The apartment is placed on the 3rd floor with a clear view (above the rooftops) towards the cathedral from the living room. There's a buzy street below, but very good sound proofing in the living room windows. Bedrooms towards a quiet backyard. Aircondition both in the living room and in each of the two bedrooms. All facilities in the kitchen and elsewhere. (Thankfully there was a stovetop espresso maker in addition to the capsule coffee machine.) Washing machine (but no dishwasher – not a problem). The apartment was large enough for a comfortable three week stay for a couple. Two bathrooms with shower (the second bath is small, though). Elevator is a plus, as the hallway gets extremely hot on warm summer days. No personal meeting with the hosts or their employees, but sufficient communication throughout the stay. One very thorough cleaning was included in our three week stay. Minor faults in the apartment were fixed promptly.
