“Apartment ok, but...”

The kitchen was well equipped The location was convenient to Arc de Truimp and Barcelona Cathedral.

To be improved

The homeless man sleeping on a mattress outside the apartment building. He used a wall just up the street a bit for his WC. There was trash in the small street. Quite a turn off.

“Nice little apartment, very clean, great location.”

The best

Very nice little apartment, great location. Incredibly clean and well looked after, a good kitchen with a full sized fridge and small freezer, well stocked with equipment - we made breakfast most days and made dinner a couple of times. We weren’t bothered by noise as the bedroom was away from the window. Lots of stairs but by the end of the week we quite enjoyed the workout. Super easy to walk to many places (less than 25 minutes walk to the beach!) and there were so many lovely gluten free places nearby.

To be improved

As mentioned, lots of stairs! When we arrived we were very tired from travelling and it was a struggle to get our bags upstairs, but luckily there was a cleaning lady there who was so sweet and helped us with them. However, by the end of the week, the stairs felt much easier and I brought our bags down with ease. The TV didn’t work, staff were very helpful and told us a maintenance person could come to fix it, but we weren’t bothered enough to spend valuable holiday time waiting to get the TV fixed so we just didn’t use it - would have been nice for it to work though. Would also have loved a shelf in the shower, wasn’t a big deal but a bit inconvenient.

“Lovely flat, not-so-lovely street”

The best

The flat was nicely decorated, with plenty of space for 2 people. Good kitchen with enough cutlery and crockery for 2. The host also responded quickly to messages (average 22 minutes). Finally, the location within the city was excellent, very easy to get around.

To be improved

While the location within the city was great, outside the flat itself didn't always feel safe due to a homeless man living by the front door, and the street itself was quite dirty too.
