“Client Dissatisfaction”
The best

Client Dissatisfaction with Hotel Ciudad de Castelldefels My Room had problems (3) resolved very nicely and professionally by Miguel, a great maintenance guy. The complaint with the hotel is with a cheap and irrational complementary water policy and the behavior of the “I don’t care, that’s the way it is” front desk staff on duty before noon on the 26th of Oct 25. When I went down to the second day to request a refill on the complimentary water they said it was only given on the first day of check-in. I then explained that this was irrational, because I should then check out and recheck in. Then they said I couldn’t do it, because they would only provide a client with water one time. I then explained to them that this was also irrational, because the next time one would make a reservation under my name, and then make a separate reservation under my wife's name. The fact that the employees were so adamant in enforcing such a ridiculous policy for a client requesting such a small item is ridiculous. Other hotels provide toothbrushes, and other amenities at no charge, and this establishment annoys a customer over a less than € 2 item. Please understand that it is not a matter of my being able to afford the € 4 it costs to buy water from the vending machine; for me it is a matter of principle and service provided to the customer to ensure their satisfaction. Please note that I was not going to have my room made-up, which would certainly save the hotel cost in towels, sheets and labor. This cost would certainly exceed the € 4. Please understand that as a result of this lack of client consideration, I am using every towel in my room, sleeping in both beds, and having my entire room serviced for the 2 days, which cost will greatly exceed the € 4 the hotel saved. I explained this to the desk staff person who shrugged his shoulders. Furthermore, as you're seeing I am posting it on the internet and on their website to make management aware of the client unfriendly consequences of their decisions and employee actions. I own and operate a very successful business, and I have over 35 years learned that you gain nothing from antagonizing clients, especially if you can satisfy them with a small gesture, even if it happens to be an exception to the general rule. I am sure after this posting you will not want me as a future client, and I have to notify you, that I don't really care since I will not stay at your hotel ever again. So who came out worse in this situation ? It cost me € 4 and the time to vent my frustration. Will it cost you clients and goodwill in addition to the cost of having to completely service my room, that's for you to decide if this is a business model you want to condone and continue.

Very dated hotel. Lack of facilities. The lift felt like it was going to break down at any moment. Breakfast was very poor.

The best

Very relaxed feel All around the hotel. Hotel is exceptionally well maintained and spotlessly clean. Pool is a great option and beach about 5min walk. Totally chillax holiday

To be improved

Some noisy guests at night... but that's just inconsiderate people.
