“so uncomfortable”
the location is the only positive thing but still I do not recommend staying there at all.
We had agreed to meet the host at 3:00 PM, but he showed up 25 minutes late. We had to call him several times, and each time he would say “I’m there in 2 minutes”, which was absolutely not true. It was frustrating and unprofessional. The apartment is on the ground floor and has a terrible, musty smell. There’s no proper ventilation only one small window, and it opens into the building’s corridor, not even outside! When we arrived, the curtain was down and broken, and the host had the nerve to ask if we wanted it fixed seriously? What kind of question is that? The place smelled like mold due to poor air circulation and lack of proper cleaning. Thankfully, one out of four fans was working, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to breathe the heat and the lack of oxygen made it unbearable. The rest of the fans were just there for decoration. The bunk bed was awful. The slightest movement would make a loud creaking noise, and my brother had a terrible night’s sleep on the top bunk. The noise even woke us up during the night. The only positive point is the location it’s close to the city center of Madrid. But honestly, this apartment should not be allowed to be rented. My mom and I are asthmatic, and thankfully we had all our medication with us, otherwise things could have gotten really bad. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. It’s unhealthy, poorly maintained, and the host is unreliable.
“Great apartment in great location for a family”
Our host, Mariela, was wonderful. She helped us where to go for our last minute printing e-tickets problem. Also, kindly letting us check out later due to the change in our flight departure time. The apartment felt more like home, being provided with all the things you need for your stay and in generous proportion too. It is highly recommended for both short and longer stay. Great location - within walking distance to Madrid Atocha train station, El Retiro Park, Reina Sofia museum, Royal Palace etc (about 25 min). It is close to metro stations too, about 8min. Nice cafe shops and Lidl nearby. I loved the black out curtain in the bedroom and my son loved the decoration. Sofa bed is big and comfy. Coming from the UK, having a kettle and oven is a great joy for our stay ☺️
The only thing to remind is it's on third floor with no elevator. But the stairs are wide and not a problem for people with average mobility. We didn't mind it as we only had carry on suitcases.
“Unfortunately, it was not a value for money choice”
1. excellent location, many shops and restaurants around 2. Metro is very close 3. Kitchen is very well equipped
1. Appartment is on the third floor, up to the narrow staircase without the lift. Challenging with suitcases. Unpleasant smell on the staircase 2. We were given only one set of keys for the family of four adult people 3. Appartment is really tiny, kitchen is right at the entrance 4. Kitchen with sofa for 2 people has a small shadowy window which faces a narrow deep cell with unpleasant smell from cooking. So the window can not be opened at all so it is not possible to get a breath of fresh air 5. Bedroom can accommodate only a bed and chest of drawers, very tiny but the biggest problem is not the size but the fact that there is no window. Considering situation with the window in the kitchen and absence of window in the bedroom, apparently is dark and badly ventilated 6. We had doubts whether linen was fresh, it was not very pleasant to sleep on 7. Appartment is not very well insulated, we could hear noises from neighbors as well as music of the party next door on Saturday
“Perfect place”
Place is in the heart of Madrid, clean, comfy, easy to come. You have all that you need there, we fell like we are home. Owner is perfect, he arange taksi to us, amd we do check in before.
“Tiny but very well equipped and nice apartment”
Location is excellent, the apartment is tiny but very well equipped, the area is nice with a lot of restaurants and bars but the apartment is quiet.
The sofa bed is quite hard The only window of the apartment is in the closed space of the building…
