Lots of wasps hanging around so worth checking if there's a nest building up but it's common for a rural house so not a complaint

“Spectacular family stay on a rural remote location”

The best

The hosts were really lovely and incredibly helpful. They allowed us to stay until 9:00 PM on our last day to enjoy the facilities all day! I personally find the location really lovely and charming. The villas are far away from the town on a big hill where you have outstanding views of the valley. The area is usually really hot, but there is not so much heat because the house is relatively high on a mountain. The resort has barbecues, a big swimming pool and lots of outdoor space to have nice meals with family and friends. It includes a small kids playground where they can burn some steam. All rooms in our villa had air conditioning and extremely comfortable beds (even better than in some five-star hotels I've visited in the past).

To be improved

As mentioned by others, the road to the resort is not paved and sometimes very narrow and dusty.

The best

We rented the whole place for a celebration with family and friends - a total of 21 international guests aged 20-87y. Perfect place, well equipped, beautiful vistas, caring host who was very helpful before and during the stay. It could not have been better. The cortijo is not cheap but absolutely worth the money.

To be improved

We felt a bit rushed on the departure day, since the cleaning lady appeared quite early to wash the bed sheets for the next guests. This interrupted our farewell breakfast - but did not spoil our fun and the host apologized.
