The air conditioning could use some work

There was so much to unlike about this apt.. but we were only here 3 nights so it didn’t ruin the trip. The entire apt reeked of mildew upon arriving; luckily we found a dehumidifier which helped isolate the smell to the bathroom. The washing machine is not in the kitchen as advertised, it’s hidden in a closet (that doesn’t look like a closet) in the largest bedroom. The stairs to the lower floor bedroom are downright dangerous, so although we had planned to utilize that room we chose not to. On our second day some men were trying to unlock the lock box claiming to be coming to fix the TV. Luckily I speak Spanish and sent them away.. the TV was fine and I was not given any notice of maintenance people coming during our stay. At that point, I emailed the property management company about the mildew, the random men, and to ask who has access to the adjacent alleyway which people could easily enter the apt from through a ‘door’ in the second bedroom that is only held up by some furniture, and got no response. That night the spare key was lost, potentially stolen, and we were forced to cut the key out of the lock box because it’s necessary for entering AND exiting the apt, except it would get stuck and take at least 5 mins to wiggle it back out. I received a WhatsApp message from the owners on the day we checked out, and I expressed my disappointment with their lack of communication. They responded that their primary method of communication is WhatsApp or through the messaging platform, however that was never expressed before and I had been in contact with them via email prior to the trip. Oh and a cockroach fell from the ceiling. I’m sure I’m forgetting something.

I did not like, that hoster communicated only on Spanish. However, she was nice. The apartament is in good place, but very untidy, plenty of dusts and hairs from people before. Conditioners were not cooling. And there was are note that it can be turned on only unitl 11.30 pm. I was dissapointed, because when I have rented it, the apartaments had quite good reviews, but lately it tuened out bad. I think, every guests see simillar problems.
