Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Excellent location, close to the beach with positive remarks.
Staff are very friendly and attentive, with many positive comments.
Great variety of food with positive feedback on breakfast.
A mostly positive experience with some minor issues.
Good value, but parking issues noted.
Nice facilities overall, but noise from music can be disruptive.
“Paradise in earth”
Everything
The only negative thing is that when we arrived at check-in (tired and dirty from the trip) the welcome was not the best, as it seemed that the receptionist thought that our documents were fake and the money was cash in front of us again and again. So it was not a good welcome, plus the money not spent on drinks still has to be returned to us.
“Great, but would have been exceptional without the annoying wristbands and loud music.”
The location was perfect: directly on a great beach, lots of restaurant options nearby (try Il Vespino Vecchio and the roof terrace at Loopy's), and it was easy to drive to and park at (we paid for a space in the tiny hotel car park, but there were actually loads of free spaces nearby too). The room was well-equipped and mostly clean (not perfect, but very good). The view from the balcony was lovely. Our issues and requests were dealt with promptly. The breakfast quality was average, but I appreciated the range of options.
The main issue was we were expected to wear an uncomfortable band on our wrist or ankle for the whole week, which we've never been asked to do in any other hotel. We had to cut it off then safety pin it on when walking past staff, which was annoying; it should have been designed to be removable. I think it's unreasonable to ask people to wear a band constantly (e.g. when away from the hotel doing activities all day). I think it only makes sense for the all-inclusive guests who stayed by the hotel pool all day, but we didn't do that (for us, the hotel was a base to explore from). The wristband really took away from our enjoyment of the hotel because we had the worry that we'd be told off for cutting it off (which we were once), and that's a kind of worry you don't want on holiday. Other smaller issues: The evening entertainment was far too loud and went on too late. I had to wear headphones to get to sleep, even though we asked for quiet rooms. The balcony light automatically came on and couldn't be turned off. I would have preferred it to be controllable, and it was a waste of electricity. The tap water tasted so bad it was almost undrinkable, so I think the hotel should have provided bottled water daily. They only gave two bottles per room at check in and it wasn't replenished. I'd still recommend the hotel despite these issues, but just remember to bring scissors and safety pins so you aren't stuck with the maddening band.
“Great hotel”
Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Good choice of food, friendly staff. Nice pool area, also kept clean.
The water pressure of shower in room was poor. Pool loungers a bit uncomfortable!
“hotel is quiet and good for living”
I liked personnel and absence of kids
cocktails in plastic glasses, seemed to be old / badly washed
“Hell with a pool.”
The poll was nice.
The food was awful. Not many protein options. Seems like food would either not have a taste or would have a very strong flavor. Almost nothing is included, even if you’re all inclusive. Want water in the room? Pay for it. Want drinks with alcohol, pay for it. ( also the drinks were premade and the bottles would be in the sun all day long. The beer and water in the pool bar, have to be served by yourself. If you asked for a included drink, you would have disgusting dirty cups. If you payed for a “premium” drink, completely different service. Seems like nobody cared. Honestly don’t recommend the place if you wanna have some stress free holidays. There would be a lot of people from outside the hotel just bathing in the pool since they can come from the beach. As you can see in the pictures dirty cups, premade cocktails and soggy food. If you don’t have any other option, go for the not inclusive option and eat outside the hotel.
“Nice hotel with decent location, but unfriendly staff and false check-in advertising”
Check-in chaos, unfriendly staff that outright lies to you. Everywhere on Booking.com it says check-in is at 14.00 - I even got a response from the Hotel confirming that. Upon arrival at 14:00 the receptionist said it would be at 16.00. When I showed him the booking confirmation and website that it says 14:00, he got very unfriendly and said it would be at 16.00 and he would call me on the phone as soon as a room is available. He never called. I checked at 16:30 at the desk, he is gone, a different receptionist had to call around the cleaning ladies to find an available room. Waiting 2.5h in 30° heat after being outright lied to - of course I never come back to any lopesan group hotels. Do not assume that you get a timely checkin.
