Cortijo El Guarda

This place is like a little piece of heaven, there is absolutely nothing not to like. Would go back in a heart beat. And the hosts are just unique and amazing authentic characters, just lovely from A to Z.

Great stay at a beautiful resort in the countryside!

From our arrival to our departure absolutely everything was just perfect! This is a wonderful boutique hotel with only five beautiful rooms hidden away in the Andalusian countryside. A perfect host & hostess met us at our arrival, a great pool to cool off, dinner was at close by restaurant (which was top notch) since the hotel restaurant was closed that evening. Breakfast was abundant & mouth watering...This is a "must go to " hotel! We are returning soon too.

Amazing experience in the countryside with Miranda, Hans, and Sam! These folks and their hospitality do not disappoint. You must also book any dinners available while staying there- their in-house chef is phenomenal and better than any meal you will get in a restaurant. Just perfect.

One-night stay that we wish had been much longer! Following an unexpectedly long but beautiful drive through the "white villages" of Andalusia, we arrived a bit late to this lovely property but were greeted warmly by owners Hans and Miranda, who oriented us to the property and the surrounding area over a much-appreciated glass of wine. They kindly arranged for a late night of tapas for us at a wonderful restaurant in nearby Alcala del Valle where we were served wonderful tapas made especially for us by the owner/chef. The next morning we enjoyed a relaxing and pretty walk in the olive groves with their dog Sam as guide and came upon a local bullring, bulls and goats at an adjoining farm - delightful! A lovely breakfast followed in the beautiful courtyard. After days of touring Spain's lovely cities, this was a most welcome and relaxing stay. Our two teenagers were made most welcome by Hans and Miranda and really appreciated the experience of staying in such a special place. Wish we had more time to enjoy Cortijo el Guarda and Hans and Miranda - we will always remember this visit!
