We love coming to Huerta Dorotea. A lovely break from everything, the kids love the area. The restaurant is excellent too.

“Loved the Log Cabin with the fire place the weather was just right”

That when I booked the log cabin I was not told that the restaurant was closed for staff holidays until later on when the cancellation date had already passed

Dinner was good, recepeptionist friendly, main hotel was pretty and authentic. Plenty hot water.

To be improved

Nobody answered our call when we arrived late, had to "sleep" in the rental car on first night. The nice receptionist refunded a night.The cabin was old, floor sloping, shabby, dark and cold. Very noisy cockrels howling in night. Cabin had no kettle. Main place lacked atmosphere, felt like we were staying in someones home who rather we were not there. Nobody approached us, was weird.

“A good place to disconnect from busy work if you don’t mind seeing certain imperfections”
The best

A nice place to spend a long weekend in tranquility of a country side atmosphere. The place is beautiful with a big swimming pool and nice panoramic views on the valley and Prado del Rey town.

To be improved

The food in the restaurant could have been better for the price, we were surprised to see nice meat served with defrosted rather than fresh vegetables. I recommend going out to the town for a dinner. The choice of food for breakfast is quite limited, I missed a lot boiled eggs for example. Another problem was a strong smell of humidity in the room which was “fixed” by putting a socket pluggable air deodorant.
