This is a gorgeous quirky property with lots of traditional features that have been tastefully preserved. The staff were outstanding, with nothing too much trouble.. very helpful and accommodating.

To be improved

There was nothing we didn’t like! It is off the beaten track but is a lovely place to spend time in. It was very hot when we visited and we didn’t have the best sleep, despite the air conditioning, but that’s the same all over this part of Spain at this time of year.

“Well. This is a place like 'visiting Grandma at countryside'. As such it works - the place is full of charm, house is traditional. Actually one can see how people live there - the house seems to be very traditional. Friendly dogs. Wifi works. Parking on street, but as it is in countryside - its perfectly safe. There is a shared very basic kitchen available, large outside area with pool. · Cons: While having 'visiting Grandma' charm, it does not mean that it can not be done better. Doors are hardly closing and are with holes, so is anti-mosquito net on the window. Grass is not cut in the garden. In shoulder season it feels cold and dark. Beds are not very comfy. Invest a bit and it will be brilliant. Otherweise it is really tired. You need a car to get anywhere from there.”

“excellent traditional Spanish experience”

The best

in the dry arid landscape of Almeria province this cortijo is a little gem and a paradise. it is very traditionally Spanish. it is set around a courtyard with lovely planting, a pool and sitting areas with wonderful views towards the mountains and Mojacar peublo. there is a town only a few kilometres away with amenities. The owners run an active olive farm and we bought some of their first press olive oil, it's delicious. Everyone is extremely friendly and we felt part of their lives even though we only stayed one night! There are communal spaces that are available to use for cooking and relaxing. would highly recommend this for a real traditional experience. thank you guys for our warm reception.
