“Excellent and very quiet stay in the hills, beautiful sunrises.”

The best

Impeccable inside and out. Very well-equipped with practically anything you might need, for cooking inside and on the barbecue. Excellent WiFi. Very quiet. The owner who met us and took us to the chalet was extremely friendly and very proactive and answered all our questions both before and during our stay promptly. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful sunrises. The swimming pool was cleaned once a week even though we didn't use it. Remember to take water with you for drinking, 8-litre bottles can be bought very cheaply from local supermarkets.

To be improved

The road from the main road out of Frigiliana up to the chalet may be challenging for a nervous driver but if taken steadily is quite doable. We stayed in February and we did need to light the fire every evening once the sun went down, the owner provides you with several bags of wood, at a reasonable charge, there is also a split system in the main bedroom which is quite efficient. Lots of blankets were provided if needed and we didn't feel cold at any time.

“Superb”

The best

The outside of the property was fantastic with amazing views, loads of seating areas and really nicely enclosed, private and safe. The inside was comfortable and really well equipped. The WiFi was also very good.

To be improved

The key collection was a bit of a pain, we used the Google maps link we were sent which worked fine but we then waited over 45 minutes (at 11pm with a toddler in the car) until the person found us, it turns out Google maps takes you to the back of the restaurant and I think he was waiting at the front. The road to the property is absolutely terrifying, I dont think you would make it in a small hire car, luckily we ended up with an SUV but I was still afraid every time we went out and when we met something coming the other way it was just terrifying.

Spectacular location, and the house is managed with love. So many good things to say… We loved it.

The drive from the main road is winding and steep. That´s the only downside.
