“Great property for large groups, excellent value for money.”

The best

The owner met us at the property and we were able to pick up the keys and gain access to the property without issue. They were contactable personally via mobile throughout the stay. We would receive answers to our questions on the day of asking either from the owner or via Ruralidays (who manage the property). The facilities in the house are good overall. The property is very large and we were able to sleep 18 guests (including 2 babies) comfortably with room to spare. There are multiple showers and bathrooms. There are also lots of different communal spaces which made staying in a large group with a couple of young children very comfortable. There are also multiple areas both indoor and outdoor to seat our entire group allowing us to eat together. The swimming pool was a nice addition and this was cleaned by somebody working on behalf of the owners during our stay. The property was cleaned to a high standard and was very comfortable. The property is located in the area surrounding Campillos. Cars are essential. Driving in to Campillos from the property takes approximately 10 minutes or 45 minutes if walking. There is a large supermarket within the town for food and supplies. Overall the property is excellent value for money and great to accommodate a large group. Would recommend.

To be improved

The kitchen facilities were adequate but cooking in the house could be improved with the addition of some further equipment. E.g. sharp knives, a garlic press. Overall we cooked most of our meals within the property without significant issue but some more kitchen space - perhaps a few more hobs and cooking surfaces - would have been useful. Whilst the property was very comfortable, we did find that the first night we were there that we were a bit cold (we stayed in early May 2024). Each room has a heater within it and after 24 hours the property had warmed up nicely and we did not need them for the rest of our stay.

To be improved

The property is unfortunately not as advertised in the above photos. - I know the pool is seasonal, but it was left is a mess and green sludge. - The bedrooms are all cold, with tiny heaters on the wall that aren’t able to heat a room. - 2 of the bedroom is the courtyard still have exposed plaster which is still stuck to parts of the floor. These rooms are very damp/humid also. - the house in general is very cold, and very dim lighting, if your trying to work or trying to host this impossible.
