“Stunning.”

The best

The location is absolutely fantastic. Very beautiful valley, close to Teror. Peaceful, quiet, secluded. Perfect if you need a tranquil place to rest. We had a car, but the transportation in Gran Canaria works very well, there are frequent buses running. The bust stop is very close to the property. The owner, Jose Manuel is very friendly and hospitable person ( as long as you can communicate in Spanish). Got looked after on very late arrival due to delayed flight. The property itself is very spacious. Our kitchen equipment was alright. Only a bigger knife was missing. There's a courtyard with roofed area, perfect for morning yoga practice. The bed is firm, I loved it but some people may not like it. Cats... There's loads of them, they're very friendly and will come to hang out with you. It's their land, so if you're not into feline company, this place may not be ideal for you. Mosquitoes... Be prepared. I would definitely go back.

To be improved

It could be a little bit cleaner, the inside of wardrobe, drawers and kitchen cupboards were a bit dusty.

“Not great”

The best

The localities is very nice, in amongst the fields, with a view, behind a farmhouse (not too close). Little sun on the terrace, but that could be a plus in summer. The local staff was friendly.

To be improved

Not very well equipped. Really not enough kitchen gear to cook (one small frying pan and one cooking pan, no bread knife, no sharp knife, none of the essentials like oil and vinegar and salt and pepper). The hot water boiler held about 4 minutes of warm water, not enough for two people to have a shower. Whenever you ran the water there was a nasty smell on the terrace for at least half an hour. Garbage bins were overfilled. There was a barbecue but it didn’t look very inviting: very dirty. The outside furniture als didn’t invite…

The cottage was generally well set up in a peaceful environment. The visits from the cats.

To be improved

The car parking facilities are right on the edge of a huge drop down the ravine, necessitating a very careful exit and entry to the car. The kettle switch was inoperative, which meant that the only way it could be turned off was to pull the plug out. Each time we had to do this, the plug flashed, which we felt was dangerous. We took the kettle back to the owner and explained the problem but were not issued with a replacement. It was not really set up for winter letting, with just a gas heater and was on the chilly side.

“Comfortable house in a peaceful environment”

The best

The owners were super kind and helpful, the view was amazing, it’s in a quiet and peaceful environment. The house was spacious & clean, the beds were comfortable.

To be improved

The shower could have been better, you had to hold it yourself, and we had to figure out how the heating worked. However both were warm which ultimately made our stay comfortable!

“We will come back!”

The best

We loved the location and the isolation! Teror City is about half an hour by foot or 5 minutes per car away. You arrive grocery stores in around 15 minutes by car. Juan was a great host!!! He gave us khakis, limes, lemons and oranges right from the trees and was so nice! We would love to be back!! We also liked the farmcats. If you don't want to be visited by them, the solution is as simple as can be. Just don't feed them :)

We absolutely liked our staying there The house and the views are incredible, unbelievable surrounding area. Beautiful nature. Great staff! Highly recommended. Have a car is essential!
