“Very good”
“Really cute place, great location, needs some service improvements for extended stays.”
The location was amazing! Salamanca is a beautiful neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and shops and really easy access to the Metro (we also walked to almost every place we visited). We definitely recommend a walk through El Retiro, a gorgeous park just down the street from the flat. The place is really cute and was the perfect size for two people. It's a dated building, but the apartment feels modern. There's someone at the front desk saying hello almost every time you come or go. The apartment is well-appointed and fits a lot of storage and space in general into a tiny two-room place.
The worst part of our stay was that there was only really enough hot water for one shower. The management company said that it would take 1-2 hours for the electric heater to provide for a second shower, so unless you want to shower, go have breakfast and then have the second person shower, take a super quick shower or be prepared for a cold second shower. Unfortunately, even with an 8-day stay, the property management company only provided one roll of toilet paper, so be prepared to bring or buy your own. The towels were really thin and scratchy and they wouldn't replace them with fresh towels during our stay. All three of these issues were probably included in the listing, but they just seem to be common practice for an extended stay (or an in-unit washer/dryer to clean our own towels). The pillow cases had holes at both ends and the pillow kept slipping out of the case! It was mostly quiet, except for our last night, when I could hear the conversation, the bathroom door slamming into place and the toilet flushing over head and I couldn't escape the sound (even with the A/C on).
“Very good”
Boho-style apartment in the heart of Salamanca quarter. Not far from bus and metro.
Instead of plenty of decoration, more than the 2 - really old - cups would have been nice. Espresso maker old and for one person. We had problems to get the apartment warm and had to use the blanket, it was dirty. There are two heaters, one for each room, the one for the living room has a display which doesn't work.
“Superb”
The location is excellent, not crowded area, but close to the city center and metro stations. The apartment is renovated, nicely decorated, has everything you need in the kitchen and the bed is super comfortable. Staff from renting agency are very helpful.
There is no washing machine (just dishwasher) and it would be nice to have more towels based on the number of days you're staying. There is some noise from neighbours, but never late at night.
