We were advised to contact the host on arrival. She texted us when the apartment was ready and advised us on how to enter the apartment. We did have a problem with the key after the 2nd day. When we contacted the host, she instructed us on how to use the key code and we had no problem after that.

To be improved

If we were given access to the key code at the start of trip.

“Spacious apartment in authentic Malaga.”

The best

Very spacious for 2 people. Luxury to have a bathroom each! Clean, light and well- furnished. Excellent wardrobes. Great location. Authentic, local neighbourhood. About a 20 minute walk from old town centre but an interesting stroll. Local cafes and restaurants.

To be improved

Hard beds! Didn’t feel homely - kitchen sparsely equipped. Impersonal. Registration and check-in cumbersome and impersonal.

The best

Very centrally located, amazing if want to explore the city center and enjoy the nightlife. Huge 3 bedroom apartment Those in charge were quick to respond and very helpful where they could be Located right on top of a supermarket Bed was large and comfy, definitely enough space for two adults.

To be improved

Toilet in master bedroom was leaking from day 1. Informed the owners who stated could get it sorted throughout stay but initially wasn't too bad and another toilet to be used. However, had to end up putting a towel on the floor to try and stop it leaking but it went worse and even leaked across the floor through the towel. Used the Spa Bath once and once was enough. Only filled it once on first night as this is initially why booked the apartment and on looking in the bath once it had emptied, there was black dirt at bottom of bath that was not from us, made us feel dirty. Further to this, the bath could not fill to the top with amount of hot water available. First time using hot water that day and it couldn't fill it up which was disappointing. The general feel of the apartment is that it is not thought what it looked like. Generally clean but lots of scrapes and dirt/drips on walls and the general feel wasn't one of cleanliness. The duvet cover and pillow covers were not fitted so unsure how regularly these are changed. The pillow covers were like cylinders that didn't cover either end of pillows and not sure if these are washed or swapped in and out. Although no fault of the owners, the general building and apartment smelt like sewage all day every day, something which might be counteracted with some air fresheners. Shower had white drips all over it which gave impression had not been cleaned properly.
