“Comfortable, historic hotel convenient to everything.”
The best

Comfortable, historic hotel right on Las Ramblas. Easy walk to the Gothic area, Barceloneta, and everything around Las Ramblas. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was good, with hot items, pastries, meats, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, and coffee/espresso options.

“Absolutely perfect stay!”
The best

We booked Cuatro Naciones for 1 night 20-21 January pre-cruise. We arrived around 1300, not expecting our room to be ready, but it was! The staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. The porter was exceptional. He helped with our baggage and coats while we were waiting in the reception area, then took our large cases to our room. The next day, he took both our cases all the way to meet our taxi. What wonderful service! The location was superb, right in the heart of the city. Near some very good restaurants. We went to Colom which was on a nearby side street - it was excellent. Our room was on the 3rd floor, spotlessly clean with all that we needed. It was very quiet during the night. This was the best 2* hotel that we’ve ever stayed in. We would highly recommend. Felicitaciones, bien hecho Cuatro Nationes.

“Excellent area terrible service”
The best

There were a group of three couples that stayed at the hotel Cuatro Naciones in between cruises I gave the location a two out of five star rating because The room was fine the breakfast and the staff running it were very good But the front desk has a major problem After coming off the first cruise we needed a laundry facility One of the couples asked and was told where to go They went there and were told to come back at 4 On returning to the hotel The fellow who told them where to go neglected to say there was two laundry facilities one does commercial work He had a tantrum and said that he would explain it to them like they were 5 years old We have never been treated with such disrespect in all the years we have travelled This individual needs anger management and counselling I would recommend another hotel there are lots in that area who have excellent staff that will treat you with respect and kindness

“Great location near the opera.”
The best

Location near the opera was essential. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was adequate with both cold and hot ingredients. Sound insulation from the street (Ramblas) is not adequate due to some noisy groups of people late at night.

The best

The location was excellent as it’s on La Rambla. It was just a hundred yards from the beautiful Placa Reial with lots of restaurants to choose from to eat or have a drink. The room was really good with a lovely modern bathroom. And there were lots of choices of food for breakfast. Cold meats, cheeses, Eggs, Cereal, toast, bread ,croissants, fresh fruit and yogurts and lots of drink choices. And you could help yourself to as little or as much as you want.

To be improved

Tea and coffee making facilities were the only thing that would have been nice in the room.
