Renovation noise 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm some evenings. Couldn’t open the back windows with the workers smoking. The smell of cigarette smoke filled the apartment. And not distant drilling noises full on loud drilling noises. My husband was right next to me in bed and I couldn’t hear what he was saying. We came for a relaxing week and went home more tired then we arrived. Sleep ins not an option, thank god we had no kids cause they would have been terrified of the noise.

Property’s valuable’s safe was not working and the television service and separate tvs in the bedrooms were not picking up signal phoned company and the girl who see us into the property and know one got back to us a complete let down

The property is in an excellent location, very close to the beach and has all the amenities of the centre of town. The bedroom sizes were very good and the living/kitchen areas are well equipped.

To be improved

The televisions in the bedrooms didn’t work, the sound from the TV in the lounge is awful no matter how much we tried to manage with it and with kids it was difficult. The apartment was clean but the floors did not seem very clean when we arrived with lots of dust/hair gathered in corners. However, these things are all manageable but the complete renovation being worked on in the apartment next door meant that we were awoken every morning except Saturday and Sunday with loud construction work - banging / drilling etc from 0730 hours. We raised this with the owners who dismissed it as outwith their control, I did stress that they could have informed us when we made the booking to give us the opportunity to book somewhere else but they did not offer any compensation. We were travelling with 2 kids aged 13 who both have significant medical conditions so to be awoken so early with the constant construction work just made the holiday a very tiresome trip. It’s a shame because we absolutely loved the location but I would be very wary to book again because there was no transparency about the construction work or just how significantly it would impact our holiday.

The apartment was excellent & in a superb location

There was ongoing building/reconstruction work on either side of the apartment for our stay. This commenced at 8am right though till 4pm & on a few occasions was 7pm Monday to Friday. This should have been relayed to us as the works were ongoing for the previous 2-3 months.We then could have made a decision to make alternative arrangements.
