“This place was pure magic.”
This place was pure magic.
“Tucked into Sacromonte’s hillside caves, this stay felt quintessentially Granada: a quiet perch above the city, moments from flamenco shows and evening strolls through white-washed lanes. The cave room was spotless and comfortable, but keep expectations simple—no in-room tea, coffee or breakfast, and the terrace, while boasting sweeping valley views, doesn’t frame the Alhambra. For travellers who value location and authenticity over extras, it’s a memorable base; just pack your own morning brew.”

“Lovely experience and views are amazing but wished we had someone to speak with upon arrival.”
The location is stunning.
Getting into our accommodations was tough. The code initially did not work and there was no one on site to help us. When we were finally able to get someone on the phone, they could not find our booking. Because the area is a bit remote and not so easy to find, it would be really helpful if someone could meet us to let us in and let us know where we can buy groceries, etc. I sent many texts asking for suggestions but unfortunately, they were not helpful. Overall, the place is beautiful and an amazing experience if you are okay with slowly finding your way on your own.
“Far from the city, unsafe and very unprofessional service”
The view of the Alhambra from the viewpoint not far from the accommodation was very nice (but you can also have it if you go for a short walk there). It was also pleasantly cool in the cave, without any air conditioning.
Unfortunately, our “neighbors” went on a rampage for hours every night (wild insults, wild shouting under strong influence of alcohol, constant door slamming in the middle of the night, etc.). It was dangerous and like being in a "drinking hole". We felt extremely unsafe there. The host did react the first night and allegedly warned the neighbors. But the next night it was even worse and the host was unavailable. I then requested a partial refund of the price. I was assured that I would hear back, but this has not happened for weeks (to date). Overall, the service was therefore very unprofessional. We will never book there again. It was - by far - our worst experience in the whole Spain trip. Apart from that, the location was very far from the city. The surroundings of the accommodation were not particularly inviting either.
“Nice location and authentic experience. However, the hygiene standards did not meet expectations.”
The location was perfect and the host was very friendly.
The property wasn’t clean, and the bed had bed bugs, which caused an allergic reaction in one of our group members.
