“Welcoming, comfortable, and well located”

Our host was wonderfully friendly and communicative (but not intrusive). The location was superb - walkable to town for the restaurant via an old lane away from the traffic, close to road for day trips. Fabulous views right from the picturesque village to the iconic Pico Uriel/Naranjo de Bulnes, the dominant landmark of the mountain range. Good shower and hot water, and fresh towels provided half-way through our stay were a nice bonus. Kitchen sink had a plug, which they don't always. Washing machine worked fine. Nice big wardrobes. Mozzie screens on most windows (a couple got in through a window that didn't, before we got wise to it). Talking of wildlife, if you don't like to hear birds calling loudly outside your window y in the morning this place may not be for you, but I enjoyed them! I'd not realised this particular location was so popular with climbers - several climbing magazines were in the bookcase.

To be improved

There was some initial confusion about our arrival date, though it was quickly cleared up. The internet didn't work the first evening and was very intermittent on one other day (though fine the rest of the time) - possibly a general fault in the area, though, as sometimes happens in rural locations. Our hosts did what they could to mitigate this. The fridge was definitely on the small side - it would have been rather a squash to fit all our food in even if there hadn't been a serious heatwave that meant we needed to chill lots of water too. Thankfully there were just the two of us, but it could have been an issue for a (slightly) larger party.

“Excellent time spent in Poo de Cabrales in Lay Yerda apartment”

The best

Very clean, sufficiently equipped apartment, all needed items were available. Very friendly and helpful host awaited us despite late arrival. Received additional instructions on places worth seeing in the area (very good recommendations). Quiet location, a small bar and grocery shop nearby

To be improved

No real issues. A bit better acoustic insulation and faster internet would be great, but none of these was a real problem.
