Compensation 100% of cost . On arrival, water seeping through floor of sitting room after any use of shower and wash basin. Attempt by Roberto to fix on Sunday. Then offer of alternative accommodation but not before Tuesday. On Tuesday, having packed, told alternative not available. So temporary repair over 2 days with dehumidifiers. At least 50% of holiday ruined. In addition door sticks making it possible for only Mike to open and close. The kitchen tap very difficult to use. Stairs only rope banister on one side so as 80 year old scared of falling, slept downstairs on sofa, wondering if it would float. All this psychologically traumatic. Copy to Booking.com

Quick resolution of an issue I raised during my stay

The decor was nice but once you looked closer it became clear it was not as good as it looked.
Awful. The downstairs was flooded and there was water oozing out of the flooring with every step. The owners knew about this as there is evidence of excessive water damage in the apartment. When I raised the issue they suggested 'this is what happens when you use the tap, turn the stopcock off.' We had just arrived and not used the water at all. To turn of the stop cock would not have resolved the whole floor being sodden and leaking plus left us with no water for our stay. We never had a reply from the owners after that or for the rest of our 5 day stay. Once we saw the shower we understood why, there was no silicone sealant and damaged grout everywhere. It was impossible to use the shower without the water flowing out on to the floor as the drainage was poor and there was no step. They had added a useless piece of foam which did nothing. The stairs to the mezzanine were unstable and dangerous. The hand rail was wobbly and one step was held on with 2 screws. The apartment is very noisy. The walls are so thin we could hear our neighbours alarm going off at 5am and conversations from the apartment above. There is an Irish bar behind the apartment by the windows. Nothing is quiet until around midnight. I wasn't expecting 5* for the price but this was way below an acceptable standard and shoddy, which is a shame as effort has been made with the decor and it looks impressive on the surface.
