Taxi couldn't park outside our flat on arrival and departure which was difficult with all the bags and being on hill and high temperature. Pool should have a cover so that it stays clean. Wasn't clean enough to enjoy. Sun lounger chairs would be useful to relax in the garden.

“A five star experience”

The best

The accommodation is fabulous and in a great location. You are three minutes from a supermarket where you can get all your groceries and more and only five minutes from the beach and promenade with a range of restaurants to suit any taste. If you're a foodie like me and want to cook your own food, you can get the bus, a one-minute walk away and a twenty-minute ride to the Mercado Central, get a bunch of tasty stuff and be back within an hour. When you have done that, the apartment has a fully kitted-out kitchen with a five-burner gas hob, electric oven and a microwave to cook it all on. If also like me, you sometimes have to do a bit of work while you are away, have no fear, the full-fibre internet is blindingly fast. The letting agency was great. They enabled us to check in early and check out late to work with our flight. Communication was over WhatsApp and they were quick to answer any questions.

To be improved

There was nothing I didn't like. Some water in the fridge and a few pods for the coffee maker would have been a nice extra welcoming touch.

It was important for me to find a good location. This house is minutes from the beach, supermarket and bus stop.

I really did not like the presence of cameras both outside and inside. I'm not sure for sure, but in the living room, where the ceiling fans are, there is a small camera and there are 2 more in the corners of the living room. Maybe someone likes to be supervised, but I love privacy. The pool is dirty. There's a filtration system, but it doesn't work properly. We asked the staff to come maintenance on the pool. After maintenance, the filtration system worked for 2 days and stopped again, which led to rapid contamination. Old household appliances need to be replaced.

The location is fantastic, the accommodation is very well designed and equipped.

From our experience the host agency do not fully appreciate their role in providing high level customer support. If the agency is responsible for the cleaning they need to review this contract as we found the standards poor on arrival. Although perhaps a small point, the property offers good wardrobe space but just a very small number of coat hangers, when we asked for more we were quickly informed that is not their responsibility. My feeling is (having read previous reviews) this sums up their attitude to customer service. My view is that the property and the rental price warrants more attention to detail (not the property but the host agency)
